Waipa Delta Dinner Cruise...

I hope I haven't bored you with all the KiWiLand photos yet!  I still have a couple more posts to complete the "Auckland journal":-)

I'm so excited to share the photos of the dinner cruise we had on Waipa Delta or I simply called it the"Love Boat"..*smiley*

Cruise departs at 7pm sharp (even if you're a minute late they'll just wave at you..lol)

Jump on board  MV. Waipa Delta Paddle Steamer and embark on a 2-hr cruise from 7pm to 9pm
$80 per person = MYR188 for  a unique dining & cruising the beautiful Auckland Harbour...Its Worth It!!

The Hilton Hotel on the Auckland Viaduct...

The crew were busy preparing the 3-course meal & beverages for us....

What's on the Menu....

Pickles!!...a big NO for me as well as the raw meat *bluek* Just Cheese please....

& bread will do...

Salad...I'm cool without it not a 'green' lover ..but I do like it sometimes depends on my mood on the meal selection;-)

No pickles, no raw meat, no salad...huh! You guys must be wondering & throwing this Q:
"What did YOU eat then???"

Actually, the dinner has just started for me at the point of The Main Course being served...hehe

Raw chicken with brie (cheese) on top, potato & cranberry...
btw, its served on a  HOT STONE..!!

Yup..you gotta cook your own meal!
Just cut the chicken into small pieces and
amazingly ,its well cooked on the hot stone for about 10-15mins

Its actually sort of a traditional NZ Maori cooking called "Hangi" click to read more but not exactly the same just the method of using the hot stone for this meal.

& HIS CHOICE...Fresh Prawns & Fish!

Everyone on the table was busy cookin' their own meal;-)

While The rest were enjoying the 'City of Sails'
*Auckland is popular known as*

The 'Sweetness' of the Desserts moment...
Oh My Gosh!!!! A Gorgeous looking Pavlova;-)
 Its Sweet..Yes!

Oh...What is Pavlova? *click* Its a very popular dish and a national cuisine in NZ as well as in OZ so both countries kind of  argued on the origin of this innocent dessert.  Hmm...let them fight over it *lol* what i want now is to bake my own Pavlova for Tea;-)

Brownie for HIM...

So, we've completed the 3-course dinner and almost time to say  "Goodbye' to Waipa Delta for the night...

Btw, since we're on the upper deck, you guyz might wanna know what's happenin' on the lower deck;-)

There's a buffet function down there...
I saw lots of Pavlova on the buffet line...wowwie!!

It's getting dark....

9pm sharp we're back at the jetty...The End of the Cruise~
for more info log on to www.waipadelta.co.nz

It was definitely a different experience from the Bangkok River Cruise  along the historic Chao Phraya river. Why did I compare it to Bangkok Cruise simply becoz that's the only dinner cruise we had before this one.  Besides the Amsterdam Cruise and few others basically its just cruising without meal on board. Maybe one day we should try "The Putrajaya Cruise"..yeah! Excellent idea for a Valentine's Special to all couple out there isn't it..hehee.

Okie dokie...till then Tata~!
