Day 1 in Muscat - June 6, 2011 (fuhhh after 4 beautiful months then only I have the time to pick & choose the 'hundred million' photos in my camera..errmmmm excellente!)
My 2nd experience flying with middle eastern carrier after Qatar Airways....
Juice & mixed nuts (welcoming refreshment)
Tasty Chicken Beriyani...
(apparently from the same 'flight kitchen' LSG - wonder why MH food not as good as this..huhu)
Magnificent aerial view...
The amazing part of flying with Oman Air "You can actually make calls from your handphone to home..yes while up in the air" No joke! My boss did make the call to her hubby & it was darn clear. The first Airline to have this 'coolest' facility. *2 thumbs up*
Safely arrived at Muscat International Airport after a 6-hr + flight from KUL...
Just an average airport...with lotsa date-palm trees around.
That's our transport from the airport to the hotel...
A new five star hotel...City Seasons Hotel, Muscat.
Arabic touch at the lobby...err but they do have normal sofa, table & chairs
The most beloved Sultan Qaboos...a must have potrait in every hotel, shop & home (perhaps)
Dinner Time...
An Omani Restaurant nearby City Seasons Hotel...
The so many types of dips...none to my liking :-(
The Appetizer ...Omani 'salad' sort of thing
yeahhh...presenting the Kebabs with Fries!
So much food! Less appetite just sleepy eyes...
Day 2 in Muscat - June 7th, 2011
Half Day City Tour with the 3 youngsters & photojournalist...."click for article"
The Garden at the biggest mosque in Muscat, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque..
The Entrance Door....
This luxurious chandelier is the 2nd biggest in the world...while
the world's largest chandelier is in Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Abu Dhabi
jaw dropping artwork in the mosque....
the aircond pillar....
Such a magnificent Grand Mosque indeed....
Shopping at the famous Souq in Muscat....
Mutrah Souq...
lotsa Omani handicraft/souvenirs items..you can buy a pashmina for 1.5 Omani Riyal = RM10
the ceiling/dome at Mutrah Souq
Don't forget to bargain for every item you interested to buy...
That was where I bought my first Abaya ( Jubah + Scarf ) and for lola too at about MYR75 each (considered cheap with good material and embroidery).
Let me just stop right here and will continue next on the remaining 2 days in Muscat, Oman with more amazing pix ...soonest kay!
Wassalam...
