91NOT19...

1919 was the year he was born and today 16 December is his 91st Birthday! The lucky man is no other than our own Gramps...Long Live OP!  Since he lives up north and we're here..in two different states so, no celebration for him *yet*.  As for now, I would like to dedicate this Virtual Birthday Cake especially for him.  This is how the cake would look like if we were to put all 91 candles on top of it...

Gramps worked as a translator at the United States Information Service (USIS) in 1954.  He speaks fluent Dutch & of coz English;-)

He's the "Coolest" Gramps ever!  Although sometimes he can be very much "fussy" and  "difficult" *plus the hearing problem* we tend to lose our patience with him quite often...haihh:-(

He might look very old now but when it comes to "the good old days" stories...he can even remember the years & places he went to.  Being a 91 year old Gramps, he surely has an excellent memory. Just like the old saying "Memory like an elephant" - elephants never forget!

p.s: When I called him late afternoon today, he sounded very happy and non-stopped talkin' bout the so many birthday wishes he received from "around the globe", his siblings, his children & family..
